It’s been all over the news so I’m sure you’ve heard of this story. if you missed the story here’s it in a nutshell. A young lady in Kennebunk, Maine was using her zumba class (suppose to be exercise) as a front for prostitution. Quite a few high profile individuals are concerned because the names of her ‘clients’ are being released which will be shocking to this community. So far police have released the names of 21 men accused of paying for sex with a Maine Zumba instructor who has been charged with running a prostitution ring out of her dance studio.
The 21 men are charged with engaging in prostitution and have been summoned to appear in court in December. They are among the more than 150 men — and reportedly one woman — who are being investigated. Police say they were clients of fitness instructor Alexis Wright, 29, who has been charged with 106 counts related to her alleged prostitution ring in Kennebunk.
There is speculation that the list contains the names of well-known locals, including prominent politicians, lawyers and law enforcement officers who allegedly frequented the brothel that investigators say was run out of Wright’s fitness studio. Wright allegedly had a video camera set up in the room to film the acts as well.
My thoughts after reading and hearing more of this story is unprotected sex and possible passing of sexually
transmitted disease (STD) or even HIV/AIDS. The zumba instructor, Alexis was also secretly videotaping her sexual relations to possibly use as extortion later? Who knows, but one thing is certain, its been said that it’s obvious that in the video’s condoms were ‘not’ used. That takes me to point of risky sexual behaviors that not only put your health at risk but your families as well if you were cheating. All for the sake of a few minutes of pleasure? And now with the ring busted and Alexis spilling peoples names and showing videos, you could only imagine the shock and humiliation of the persons involved. My first suggestion to those person’s involved would be ‘Get Yourself Tested’ for all STD’s and HIV/AIDS. Whoever she slept with, means you slept with that person also. You can’t see HIV/AIDS but can contract it.
As the scandel breaks further and more names are released, I just shake my head. It’s the oldest story in the book and the oldest profession known. But the consquences are greater than they realize without using condoms. I’ll keep a watch on this story as well… Now you know.
